6. Create LLC Bank Account

Congratulations on becoming a new business owner! As an entrepreneur, it is important to separate your personal finances from those of your LLC by opening a separate business bank account. This will not only help organize your finances but also demonstrate the legitimacy of your business to the residency's office.


Please Note: The instructions provided below will guide you through the process of applying for a business bank account. If the bank requests proof of address, you can submit a copy of your current lease.

  • You may collect payments via personal Venmo (or a different app) before setting up the bank account, but ensure that you deposit the business funds into the bank account once it's established.


Please Note: If you haven't already, you need to submit the BOIR Report. It takes <5 minutes and will ensure your LLC is federally compliant.

  2. Click “Get Started”

  3. Type your email

  4. Type a password

  5. Click “Get Started”

  6. Open up your email

  7. Copy the code

  8. Paste the code

  9. Click “Next”

  10. Click “LLC”

  11. Click “Next”

  12. Type your first name

  13. Type your middle name if applicable

  14. Type your last name

  15. Select your citizenship

  16. Click “Next”

  17. Type your mobile number

  18. Click “Next”

  19. Open your texts

  20. Copy the code

  21. Paste the code

  22. Click “Next”

  23. Type your address

  24. Type your apartment number if applicable

  25. Type your city

  26. Select your state

  27. Type your zip code

  28. Click “Next”

  29. Select your birth month

  30. Select your birth day

  31. Select your birth year

  32. Type your SSN (social security nuber)

  33. Click “Next”

  34. Enter your legal business name

  35. Type “100”

  36. Select “Owner”

  37. Select “Texas”

  38. Click “Next”

  39. Either type your business address or check the box if the addresses are the same

  40. Click “Next”

  41. Check the box

  42. Type your EIN

  43. Select the month your LLC was established

  44. Select the year your LLC was established

  45. Check the box or leave it empty depending if you earn other income.

  46. Click “Next”

  47. Select the most applicable industry

  48. Type a description of your business

  49. Type “1”

  50. Click “Next”

  51. Select your estimated monthly revenue

  52. Check “ACH" and “Check Deposits”

  53. Select your estimated estimated monthly incoming ACHs

  54. Select your estimated estimated monthly outgoing ACHs

  55. Select your estimated monthly check deposits

  56. Keep the default selection as “No” for having non-U.S sales.

  57. Click “Next”

  58. Gather applicable documents

  59. Click “Start Verification”

  60. Scan the QR code with your phone’s camera

  61. Click “Start Verification”

  62. Click “Consent”

  63. Select either form of ID

  64. Click “Allow”

  65. Scan your ID

  66. Click “Submit”

  67. Take a selfie

  68. Go back to computer

  69. Click “Next”

  70. Redownload your previously uploaded LLC Certificate

  71. Click the + icon

  72. Upload your LLC Certificate

  73. Toggle the switch to “yes” that your name is on the document

  74. Click “Next”

  75. Toggle the switch to “no” if you don’t need a physical card or “yes” if you need one.

  76. Click “Next”

  77. Select which platforms you use if any

  78. Select your Novo plans (1+)

  79. Click “Next”

  80. Review your responses for accuracy

  81. Click “Continue”

  82. Check the box

  83. Check the box

  84. Check the box

  85. Leave the toggle to “No”

  86. Click “Apply”
